Cricket is guarding the treats
Thank you to Rachel Sheppard at mykidhaspaws.org for the treats and bows! Butterfly let Cricket have first shot at opening the present, but now they are both sleeping next to their treats.
Chienne would never give up until she had ripped that packet open. I love her to bits but she does tend to be a tad greedy and will pinch off the Man if she can :o)
Cricket tends to leave the hard work to me. If the treats were already free from their trappings, she would elbow Butterfly out of the way, and if the bag were empty she would carry it around and stick her face in it for days. But work? Nah.
Thanks for so much for posting about this! I really appreciate it!
It must have been a holiday din-din. After dinner, I’m always on the prowl for more. At holidays, I get close to half what i really want and know I’m not going to get anymore.which is better than my normal meager gruel I know that for the next two weeks, I don’t get to step out of my no-fat (vet prescribed) diet. Mucho bummer. If you get enough on a holiday-the best strategy is to fall asleep on the couch. He does. Then She does. Follow the leader.
Cricket waits until everyone else is asleep and then trolls for snacks in the dark. She only believes in sleeping when there’s no special food left at all, and then she can sleep for days.
Look at that tongue! Cuteness overload!
Butterfly likes to roll out her tongue and fold it under her chin to really relax. I think it’s a new yoga pose.
I will have to try that and see if it works then! 🙂
Yes, they are 100% content!!!! Adorable to the max!!!! Christmas came early for us too…Enjoy your pawesome treats!!!!
Bless. Ours herds you to the doggy cupboard and her hints for treats are as subtle as a tank! Then she takes said treat to bed, lovingly tucks it in, and shows us what she’s done.
I knew a cat once who would lead you to the fridge and stand in front of the bottle of milk and meow until the gift was received.
Pets are truly wonderful aren’t they!
Aah, they’re cute 🙂
And they know it!
Your cuties have self control! lol….My girls would be giving me the stink eye to give them their treats…NOW! Happy holidays!
It got loud around here once the bag was opened and they could SMELL the joy.
Awwww, happy dog. 🙂
Merry Christmas, Cricket!
Any holiday that brings her chicken treats is Cricket’s kind of holiday.
Yumm! I bet Cricket and Butterfly will look adorable with those bows on 😀
Butterfly is very Gemma-like. I wonder how a monkey would be received?
I see you researched where that crazy thought came from!
How they love treats!
They dream of treats while they’re sleeping!
And beg for them while they’re awake!
Pups are so adorable. Yours are cute and cuddly looking with their sweet little faces, too! This is blog candy to those who don’t have little pups, anymore! smiles, robin
Puppies and candy are my two favorite drugs!
